Lord Stanley's Cup Prediction

I know my readership of 3 people don't care about hockey but I felt my prediction needed to be a matter of public record for the naysayers.

- this is the year for Detroit to not choke in the first round (I commission them to thoroughly spank the Flames in the first round)
- Vancouver will do the best out of any Canadian team but won't make it to the final.
- No matter what happens, a team from the East will win the cup.

Detroit? For serious? You're probably right. I don't even have a bracket.

I tried to pick the winners, but apparently Chicago isn't even in it. However, Janny did inform me they won for cutest outfits which is really why I chose them.

There has to be a time for Detroit not to choke in the playoffs. It is less that I want them to win and more that I want the Calgary Flames to lose. Je me souviens 1988.

Now, if you ask me, that graph, prediction and general insane knowledge of the hockey year should give you an 'aitch' of a good reason to attract a man...what gives?!

No, no no. It does not make you attractive to men, it makes you one of the guys. Men are not attracted to women with opinions on hockey (especially more informed opinions).

So, aside from the fact that almost all of our picks for the West are completely different and our first round picks for the East are identical, I hate to tell you that the bracket is flawed. The NHL re-seeds after the first round, so your second round matchups would be Det-SJ and Van-Ana in the West and Buf-NYR and Ott-NJ in the East. And Anaheim is winning the Cup. Just thought you should get the memo.

Derek out.
