Witchy Woman

I can't believe I never blogged about this dream that happened back when I lived up North:

I am driving on the highway between Saskatoon and Regina late at night. On either side of road is fields of wheat. The sky is clear and the moon is full. The radio is playing what sounds like two different songs at once. I turn down the radio and realize that there is very loud music coming from outside. I pull over on the shoulder and get out of the car. I can hear the song "Witchy Woman" coming from the wheat field to my left. I'm puzzled since there is only wheat fields and empty highway as far as I can see.

I start making my way through the chest height wheat towards the music. I notice the ground is aglow up ahead and realize there is a tunnel opening. I make my way down the tunnel to a cave and discover a surprise birthday party for Eric Clapton. There is a boxing ring in the centre of the cave where Queen is performing with a new teen-aged lead singer. Oh, I forgot the mention that the party was being thrown by Mexican Wrestlers. Suddenly we are all overcome with tiredness and fall asleep.

The end.

Funny People Think I'm Funny (with Apologies to John Denver)

I sent this video to Jay Onrait to help with Olympic withdrawal. He loved it! It was a great start to the day to find out others appreciate your awesomeness.

Janny's note to Ky: It is alright to have a crush on Jay Onrait, I'm sure he could handle your high fives. Like your brother, I've watched him on TV for years. He's funny and charming and ridiculously tall. Viewers love him, people love working with him and that is why he was asked to anchor Olympic Morning.

The Way I Feel Inside

I need your help. A couple months ago I discovered this song on my computer. I never heard it before and I have no idea where it came from. Does anyone out there have a clue? It is "The Way I Feel Inside" by the Zombies. I think there may be more than one version of this song.

The Good in Everyone

I sort of feel stuck in the middle between two groups of people who don't like each other very much. From my point of view, it is a long history of hurt feelings, not admitting fault, foolish pride and all that fun stuff. Neither party is a bad as the other one claims and both parties are to blame for the state of affairs.

I was listening to my IPod as I rode the bus home when the song by Sloan "The Good in Everyone" came on. A thought popped into my head "If you look hard enough you can see the good in everyone. Also if you look hard enough you can find fault in everyone." Made me really think about how I see the people around me. Am I looking for their faults? Am I waiting for them to fail?

Musical Genius

I think these lyrics speak for themselves:

You're A Vegetable, You're A Vegetable
Still They Hate You, You're A Vegetable
You're Just A Buffet, You're A Vegetable
They Eat Off Of You, You're A Vegetable
- Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Michael Jackson
