    The sexual revolution of the 1960s was not a result of "The Pill" but of a slight imbalance in the ratio of men and women of fertile age. There were more women than men. Once the balance returned to more normal numbers, conservative "values" again became in vogue.
    After the Great Patriotic War, there was a huge imbalance in eg Poland, Ukraine and parts of Russia. The effects of which are still echoing in the culture.

    It also explains why so many ugly dudes in the Ukraine end up with totally hot chicks.
