Mistaken Identity?
Something weird is going on with my Twitter account. I'm getting bizarre messages from people I don't know. Maybe someone is tweeting the wrong person? I need to coin a term to describe such a thing.

JC Power 2010-2011
The live draft for my fantasy hockey league occurred this afternoon:
I'm a little upset with myself because I broke my own rule of picking goalies first. I also accidentally chose Tomas Plekanec so he better have a really good year.
Here's my trophy from last season:
I'm in a more difficult league this year so I have lowered expectations for myself.

Witchy Woman
I can't believe I never blogged about this dream that happened back when I lived up North:
I am driving on the highway between Saskatoon and Regina late at night. On either side of road is fields of wheat. The sky is clear and the moon is full. The radio is playing what sounds like two different songs at once. I turn down the radio and realize that there is very loud music coming from outside. I pull over on the shoulder and get out of the car. I can hear the song "Witchy Woman" coming from the wheat field to my left. I'm puzzled since there is only wheat fields and empty highway as far as I can see.
I start making my way through the chest height wheat towards the music. I notice the ground is aglow up ahead and realize there is a tunnel opening. I make my way down the tunnel to a cave and discover a surprise birthday party for Eric Clapton. There is a boxing ring in the centre of the cave where Queen is performing with a new teen-aged lead singer. Oh, I forgot the mention that the party was being thrown by Mexican Wrestlers. Suddenly we are all overcome with tiredness and fall asleep.
The end.

Howdy Stranger
Wow, almost a month since my last post. Uhhh, sorry about that. I really have talked about myself in a long time as well. Sorry about that as well.
I'm kind of lacking in stories these days. For the first time in about two months, I can't sleep. More often than not I'm inspired to blog when I can't sleep. I couldn't sleep because the fan in my room was overloading the power bar causing it to beep every couple minutes. I use the term my room loosely because it is only my room for now. My current room is also referred to the Yellow Room, Mary's old room or Grandma's old room. Technically, once upon a time I shared the room with my sister until she drove me nuts and I moved to the basement. As they say, that is neither here nor there.
I am staying in the yellow room because there was flooding in my room again. Last spring there was flooding in my room and we thought we had fixed the problem. Flooding isn't really the correct term but the carpet and bottom on the walls are soaking wet. We're not even sure what caused it since we only had a bit of rain the other night.
Fact: Janny is a high maintenance sleeper.
I'm too wound up now. It is hard enough to sleep in an unfamiliar room. I tried to just shut off the fan but I've gotten too used to the white noise from my air purifier. I had to get up and move the fan to a different plug in. With no where else to put it, I set the fan on the arm of a chair but it fell over almost as soon as I had the lights off. I had to go to the living room to get a TV tray to put the fan on.
My shoulder has been bugging me so I was having a hard time getting comfortable. My usually pillow arrangement does not cut it for a different bed. I just want to be in my own bed in my own room. I'm at the point of the night where I know it will be easier to stay awake and go to work early rather than struggle to wake up in 2 hours.
Fact: Mornings are for chumps.
